I have been making this recipe for a long time, more than a year. Maybe even two. And until now I had never launched to share it with you. I have thought about it several times but never have before. I guess the first reason is that, until now, I’ve never posted any beverage recipes on the blog before.
I am crazy about smoothies of all kinds and I always go through tests and experiments, which often depend on what I have in the fridge when I have a craving for a smoothie. But there are some that I like so much that I do them over and over again, without ever getting tired. It is the case of this recipe.
Banana and peanut butter smoothie
Do you want to prepare a different snack? I suggest this Banana and peanut butter smoothie. It is easy, healthy and we can take it in the bottle. Original, right?
Since we learned to make peanut butter at home, we have read a lot about it and have even dared to cook or prepare some things with it. We have discovered that consumed in moderation, it is healthier than we thought since it provides us with the necessary proteins and vitamins for the human body.
Best of all, with this banana smoothie with peanut butter, milk and cocoa we are giving our little ones a very complete food that they will love for its taste.
It is also suitable for the elderly or inappetent since, when they can drink it, they take it easier.

Banana and peanut butter smoothie is a perfect healthy drink for snacks for children or elderly and insane people.
I’ll start by confessing my peanut butter dependency. It is true that I just made up the word, but I can’t think of a word that better explains what happens to me with peanut butter. It is something that I am passionate about and that I miss almost everything.
This is true. The same gives me to use it to spread a toast, add it to the yogurt, accompany the fruit, or prepare a bowl of oatmeal, than to use it as an ingredient in sauces, or even eat it directly in tablespoons. The truth is that I have no measure and I can eat it at any time.
Before, I always took peanut butter from those sold in supermarkets, which are delicious, both those with bits and those that do not. The problem is, as I was telling you, that it is one thing that I like so much that I eat it almost every time I open the fridge and find myself face to face with the boat.
I have come to sit on the sofa with a pot in one hand and a spoon in the other and eat spoonfuls until I am soaked. And then I felt guilty, plus the pain in my belly. So I decided that the best thing I could do for my health was to stop buying it. But how do you stop eating something you like so much? It couldn’t be either. So I decided to look for natural alternatives.
Normally all the peanut butter we find in supermarkets are full of salt, sugars and oils (especially palm oil), so I set out to find a peanut butter that ONLY contained peanuts. There are many alternatives in herbalists, diet stores and sports stores. We can even make our own homemade peanut butter with unsalted peanuts and a good mixer.
And finally, I found the peanut butter I am deeply in love with. It is from the brand My Body Genius, it is purchased online and has such an incredibly creamy texture that it seems incredible that it only has peanuts! (From here I appeal to the directors of this brand to take me to visit their facilities and let me bathe in the peanut butter tank).
What I still can’t believe is that, with how much I like peanut butter and the number of times I take it, I have not yet published a recipe with it on the blog! So I have decided to remedy such a problem and start with this smoothie that, although it is a very simple recipe and there are thousands of smoothie recipes out there, I can assure you and I assure you that this is THE RECIPE.
If there is an ingredient that combines perfectly with peanut butter, that is the banana. And the combination in the form of a smoothie is spectacular. This smoothie will mark a before and after in your lives. I could drink it every day of my life and never tire, I assure you.
- Cuisine: Spanish
- Recipe Type: Drinks

- Servings: 2
- Cook time: 1M
- Total time: 1M
Ingredients: Banana and peanut butter smoothie
- 200 g of milk
- 8 ice cubes
- 1 banana
- 30 g of peanut butter
- 5 g of pure cocoa powder
- Peel and chop the banana. Put it in the glass with the rest of the ingredients. Crush for 1 minute, progressive speed 5-7-9. Distribute the smoothie in two glasses or cups and serve immediately.
- Like most homemade drinks, it is recommended to consume them as soon as possible so as not to lose their nutritional properties. Anyway, Banana and peanut butter smoothie can be kept for a couple of hours in the fridge. When consuming it, it is best to shake it a little so that the ingredients mix again since, with rest, different layers tend to form by density.
TRICKS AND TIPS:
- As I like this Banana and peanut butter smoothie the most is with vegetable milk (especially with oat milk or soy milk), but if you don’t like vegetable milk you can use cow’s milk without any problem.
- You can make this recipe a healthy recipe if you use natural peanut butter (as I say, my favorite is My Body Genius, but you can find alternatives in diet stores or make your own).
Try it, it’s almost an order. Seriously, I assure you that you will never regret it. At best, I’ll let you hate me for creating an addiction for you. But think that you can have this smoothie as a treat (using peanut butter from the supermarket) or as a healthy recipe (with natural peanut butter, both purchased and homemade). I make these shakes many times before going for a run, for energy, or when I return, as a reward.
And I am going to stop telling you about my life, that I start to write and I give you some rolls that are not normal. Thanks for reading me.
I hope your comments, that this recipe is made in two minutes and you have no excuse !!
Lots of kisses for everyone!
