When we talk about Vegan cake recipes with natural sweeteners most people think “aspartame” with all the controversies we know it. As a reminder, aspartame is an artificial sweetener (as opposed to natural sweeteners). It is an empty food that the body does not recognize. The purpose here is not to fuel the controversy over aspartame but to present other types of sweeteners.

What is a sweetener?

A sweetener is a product that has a sweet taste. It can be chemically synthesized like aspartame or be derived from a natural product (milk, cereal, plant …). Aspartame, stevia or tagatose are sweeteners. Sweeteners are not necessarily calorie-free (see the summary table at the bottom of this article).

But there are natural sweeteners or natural sugars that deserve attention to offer recipes without sugar, low glycemic index for diabetics or people who simply pay attention to their weight or their health.

For everyone it is good to avoid white sugar or at least consume it in moderation to avoid insulin peaks that can tire the body and cause diabetes. I am a great gourmand myself and I would have difficulty doing without sweet flavor. So you might as well look for a way to reduce sugar consumption while not feeling frustrated.

Before I give you the recipe for this basic Vegan cake recipes with natural sweeteners, I tell you: You’re crazy. I tell you cash, I did not expect such a welcome from my little grainu aka “Take the seed! “.

When you write a small support like this, it’s a thousand questions, “it’s not many 13 recipes, and at the same time it’s not a theme goes everywhere”, “and if I have fez of otograf fotes”, “and if PayPal file for bankruptcy” mouahahaha “and if no one reads it”, “what if…”.

In short, I do not even tell you my state of mind for the next one on which I have been working personally for a few weeks. (I have a very serious problem with addiction to work, but I take my side, don’t worry as the other would say).

Two versions for everyone: Vegan cake recipes with natural sweeteners

I offer two versions, one with gluten, classic, and one gluten-free, which has been repeatedly tested to find the perfect balance with simple flours and especially, ABOVE all, to be childishly simple to prepare.

Because I’m not at all a fan of “adding guar gum with psyllium in chputpout nut flour, wait until bubbles appear and try to communicate with you. Then add the fermented tigernut milk made from pre-germinated seeds with Marseille squash seed oil (and only Marseille at the risk of completely missing your recipe) and bake at low temperature at 80 degrees for 8 hours to ensure an incomparable softness to your cake and optimal digestion.”

I’d rather puncture my gut with GMO gluten than get into something like that.

These bases are nature.
You can add for example:

  • Vanilla powder or liquid extract, cinnamon, four spices
  • Lemon or citrus peels
  • Cocoa (by swapping the equivalent weight of cocoa to flour) or chocolate chips
  • Large pieces of fruit or a grated apple for example, cherries (soon!), raspberries, etc. The texture will not be modified, with or without gluten.
  • Then, as in any cake recipe, you can add other liquids, melted chocolate, lemon juice in larger quantities, oilseed puree, liquid coffee. But the texture will be changed.

And I anticipate the questions: I like the texture of these cakes with THESE quantities. You can modify them as you want, but inevitably, it will be another cake.
